Environmentally-Friendly LED Backlight
The EV2411W is the first EIZO monitor to incorporate an LED backlight. Unlike conventional CCFL backlights, LED backlights contain no mercury and they consume considerably less power. The EV2411W requires only about half as much power as its predecessor. In power save mode the EV2411W consumes less than 0.8 watts, and when turned off via the main power switch it consumes no electricity at all.
  

EIZO Eco Products 2009 Compliant
Stemming from a commitment to develop products with minimal environmental impact, EIZO introduced its own internal environmental label EIZO Eco Products in 2002. The FlexScan EV2411W, S2202WSE, S2202WSHK and S2402WSE monitors are the first models to carry EIZO Eco Products 2009, the latest version of this label. EIZO Eco Products 2009 sets strict internal requirements for manufacturing and packaging, stipulates that the monitor must not consume any power when turned off, and requires that its eco profile is available on the EIZO web site.

Reduce Power Consumption and Save Energy with Auto EcoView
An Auto EcoView sensor on the front of the monitor (this is the improved and earlier called BrightRegulator) measures ambient light and optimizes the screen’s brightness to levels akin to viewing a sheet of paper under typical office lighting conditions. Since the screen is never too bright, eye strain is reduced while power consumption is cut by up to 39% compared to operating the monitor with Auto EcoView turned off and set to the default factory brightness of 100%.

Confirm Power Savings with EcoView Index
Another feature available in the EV2411W, S2202WSE, S2202WSHK and S2402WSE monitors, EcoView Index displays the level of power savings in correlation with the monitor's brightness to encourage environmental consciousness while working. When EcoView Index is fully illuminated, the monitor is operating at optimum energy efficiency.

Direct Energy Savings
When the monitor’s power save mode and off timer function are set, it consumes less than 0.7 watts of power, and when turned off via the main power switch, it consumes no electricity at all. With today’s increasing office energy expenses, zero-watt power consumption saves electricity and lower costs over the long run.
